1994 mustang gt factory 5 spoke rims, 16 x ? what is the widest tires i can put on these rims without interference.

Interference will not be an issue. I think they're 16x7", and I recall someone saying they had 255/50R16's or something like that. It was a 255 for sure anyways.

You could shop around for a set of decent used 17" wheels and tires for probably the same cost as getting 4 new 16" tires. My $0.02
