Hey guys I was wondering if your tire height affects your performance (mainly acceleration)? Right now I have 225/60/16 all around. I was told they are an inch higher than stock. Are these slowing me down? I think I am going with 245/60/16 in the back 225/50/16 in the front or 245/50/16 in the back 225/50/16. Help me out guys.

Thanks,
Jimmy

245/50/16 is what I run on all 4 corners and it looks good. A 60 is too tall looking for me in a 16" rim. It hurts your gear ratio a little bit but not enough to drastically affect performance.

Yes it is slowing you down. The further away mass is from center, the more energy it takes to spin the wheel. Therefore a wheel that's say 30" in diameter takes more energy to spin than a wheel that's 25" even if they weight the same.

You are running the incorrect size tire anyway. Your sidewall is too big. Stock tire size for 16" wheels on a Mustang is 225/55/16 and if you go to a 245 you want a 245/50/16
