tire size

what size tires can i run on the rear of a 93 gt with 17x9 inch rims with quad shocks reamoved

I've got a 89 LX. I have the quads still on and no rubbing. My tires are 255/45/17. With the stock track.

I'm gettin' ready to put 275/40/17's on the back of my 92. I measured everything and it shouldn't interfere w/ my quads.

I have 265/50-15 (sometimes) on the back of mine and it is tight. They actually wouldn't fit but I took the quad's off and reversed them. Can't even get a pencil in between the two. I'm looking for something like 245/55-15 or 255/55-15 when I replace them but can't seem to find those sizes.

EDIT: Hey, I'm a "senior member" now. lol.

275/40R17 will fit just fine but you might have to flip the quads, no big deal.
