Tire sizes

Is there a big difference in 245/40/18 compared to 265/35/18's? I was just comparing sizes and tires and was wondering which to go with. the 245/40's seem to be alot cheaper in price. I'm going with 18x9 and 18x10's wheel sizes.

Yeah I was leaning towards 265/35 front and 285/35 rears. Just curious as to how the 245's would look. Does anyone have any pictures with the 245's?

DO NOT put a 245 tire on a 10 inch wide rim. It will look TERRIBLE. I would go AT LEAST 275 and even that would be small. I have a 10.5 inch rim with a 315 tire.

315/35 and its honestly not even big enough for the rim because its Nitto...runs small. But I would go with a 305/35 if I were you for the 10. And a 265 for the 9.

OK OK OK, how bout 245/40/18's on the 18x9 and 275/35/18's on the 18x10? Would there be a difference in the height of the front and rear?

Keep in mind, I'm not cheap, just trying to get the most for my money. I might just break down and get the 265/285 combo.

Get the 265/285 combo. I have pics of my setup in sig, page 7. 265 fits a 9" wheel pretty nicely in front and it doesn't track too bad at all. 245 you will have Zero rim protection. For 18x10 285 would be highly recommend for you to have some rim protection as well.
