on my car i am running 265/35 18's all the way around.. but i was thinking about changing the back two tires out to 275/40 18's and leaving the same size, 265/35 in the front when i need new tires.. would that make the ride any different or would it work better for hooking?

It may throw your Traction Control off since your rear wheel's sidewall will be a lot taller(larger diameter) than your fronts. 275 40's works well for 17"s but kinda tall for 18's. What width is the rim. 285/35 would work and look better if it's wide enough.

Not sure what actual differences between the front and rear would throw the TC off, someone will probably chime in.

my wheels are 18x9".. but i need some soft, sticky tires.. i guess i could stick w/ 35's, but i'd like 40's.. i would like to get some sidewall flex, that way i could let more air out of the tires and heat them up.. could you recommend some soft/sticky tires?
