So did you use the original seat brackets and not buy the Corbeau ones?

I had the summit/jegs seats in my old mustang. I liked them, good for the price.

welcome to me 5 yrs ago

if you've got the money buy some Recaro Sports (the same ones in the 00 Cobra R) so you know they'll fit. they come in lots of color combos as well ($$$$)

i've been continuously looking for 'o1-o4 Cobra seats (with tan suede inserts) but haven't had any luck. Bullitt and Mach 1 seats are nice as well if you have a black interior

Thanks man, appreciate the compliment! I don't remember seeing tan in the CR1 style but then again I wasn't looking for that color...and no, they weren't cheap (but not the $$$ of Recaros).

Im thinking about the Corbeau TRS Microsuede seats. They felt pretty good and are pretty light weight.

Friend of mine has those in his turbo'd Focus, they are nice but IMO the jegs and summit seats are of equal quality and a lot less cash. The Corbeaus are a bit comfier though!

Most the Corbeau's say they fit up to a 36 waist and the "Wide" versions fit like a 38 or 40.

They are very comfortable...way more supportive. I was a bit worried initially about the loss of power adjustability but the seat height and placement felt perfect for me. My stockers were completely worn out almost to the point where I could feel the frame coming through the fabric. These are much firmer and on long drives the support really helps the 'ol back.
