tires and rims....HELP??

hey all....I want to find out the right size and the biggest size tire that will fit on my stock 02 bullitt rims. I believe the rims to be 17 x 9's?? I have also been thinking of going with 17 x 10.5 deep dish on the rear and the stock on the front. is there an issue of the abs not working properly or at all if there is too much difference from front to rear.
Wanting some advice on what size tire to use front and rear. thinking of using BFG kdw's or kdw II's.....

ABS will work fine. on a 17x9 an 275/40/17 will fit good, on a 17x10.5 a 315/35/17 would look great!

is the rear stableizer shock going to have to be removed if I go with 315's???

No, and the stock rims are 8" wide. 275s will roll a bit, and will look sweet on an 8" rim.

Can I go with a 285 40 17 on the rear and maybe a like a 265 40 17 or 255?? I am afraid to go too wide in the front as the car may track the road grooves..??? any thoughts most welcome....
