I really wish ford had just kept the 245/45zr/17's as the tires for the mustang instead of the 235/55zr/17's. My only real complaint so far about the car is that the tire profile is too high and the width not wide enough..
Anyone have any idea why they made that change?
So they could use the 18's in '06 w/o having to make any changes to the computer to compensate for the changes in the speedo. The 245/45/17's were already too low profile. Imagine what an 18" wheel would look like with the same diameter tire. You'd have to go down to a 245/40/18 or a 275/35/18.
