What kind and brand of tires would you guys suggest I get for my car.

I like Kumho 712s... They're inexpensive, sticky and they are awesome in the rain. They may not last forever (at least how I drive) but they are the best bang for the buck for an all-around street tire. I've also used Dunlops & BFGs...I didn't like either. Put the $$$ you saved by going with Kumhos towards some nice R compound rubber or drag radials so you can have fun racing (legally of course).

I use Nitto 555's all around.
A lot of peeps run the 712's Kumho and they are not exspensive at all, good prices @ DTD. BnGRacings description is right on.

I am thinking of getting the Kumho MX tires. 5.0 mag did a comparison test with those and BFG KDW and another brand. The MX did just as good if not better during the testing and they were the least expensive.

I'd go with either Kumho MX's, Yokohama AVS's, or Sumotomo HTR-Z II's. For just a few dollars more you can get some Nitto 555's though so I would go with those. They look and perform the best by far.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Eagle F1's. I know quite a few people that are pulling 1.9 60 ft's with these tires and sometimes better.

Sorry, but Eagle F1's blow. They are way to expensive for what you get. My car had new F1's when I bought it and I hated them. I have Kumho 712's now and they are 100x better.

I know 3 people with the EAGLE F1 GS-D3's and never once have I heard a complaint about them. They use them for both road course and drag racing.

I do agree they're a little on the pricey side however.

Can you show me a link to a retail outlet that sells Nittos's? We can't get Nitto's in Canada to my understanding.

I am talking about the F1's that came stock on our cars. I don't know if they are the same as the GS-D33's you are talking about.

www.discounttire.com is the only place I have found that sells Nitto but I am not sure if they ship to Canada.

This is what the GS D3 's lok like, and a lot of people swear they're getting just as good a performance out of these as the Nitto 555's. Beats me.

I'm running the Kuhmo 712 on my V6 Stang and Bridgestone Potenzas on my V8.

Nitto 555's and 555R's are very nice, Kuhmo 712's, and Bridgestone Potenza SO-3's are very nice.
