tko 500

Just wondering if anybody out there is running a tremec tko 500. I have about 300 miles on mine now and 2nd gear still seems harder to shift compared to the others. Has anyone else experienced this

Im running a TKO 600, and yes, normal shifting it is tough, its a very strong transmission. If youve felt manual transmissions on any other cars, even civics, they do have a notch to them.

When your racing and shifting hard, youll never notice the notches. You wont miss a shift either, the TKO shifter is awesome.

actually no. i have the tko-500 with about 600 miles on it and i believe that all of the gears shift the same except into fourth wich is super easy for obvious reasons. comparing to other trannys i would not know because this was my first stick ever.

yeah 4th is really easy, 1st is a little rough, 2nd is okay. All im saying is this transmission should be notchy, its not going to be smooth like a honda trans or something. Personally I like the notchyness b/c it feels sloppy without it.

After the break in time....Mine shifts great!! You did take it easy for the first 500 miles didn't you??
