Tko 600 handle a 408w stroker?

I am looking at putting a keith kraft 408w stroker in my 89 mustang. The engine is said to have 575 ft/lb. of torque and the tko 600 is rated to 600 ft/lb. Will this transmission be reliable being driven hard on the street and at the drag strip? And if I put a 150 shot of nitrous on the motor, would that kill the transmission?

I think that tranny will hold up well. I have a regular old world class t-5 mounted to my 351w. so far its holding up to the nitrous aswell. Probably only a matter of time though.

I'm not putting down 575 tq, but my TKO is holding up well so far.

A TKO600 will handle that in its sleep. General opinion is that they are underrated in how much they handle. Again you can break any transmission depending on how you drive it too.

My TKO is holding up fine to my 408 which is making 550ish tq at the crank.

Mind you, I haven't put any real traction to it yet
