TKO crossmember, where to buy?

Remember, even if the driveshaft still fits that doesn't mean it's the right length- it isn't supposed to go all the way into the tranny. There is supposed to be a measured space worth of play. Why did you have to chop the hanger?

B/c I had to push the x-member back and the hangers had to towards the front further than what the x-member would allow. Yes, I agree about the d/s but the TKO's don't require a shorter d/s in a fox body.

no modifications are necessary to the exhaust hangers or the driveshaft.

Ummmm, well then explain if you move the base of the crossmember back, how are the exaust hangers going to stay in the same place considering they are attached to the same place? The driveshaft will go in without modification, true, but at least in my case, the yoke is pressed against the tailshaft.

I guess it's like k-members and such, some people with the same part have no issues while others do.

You can buy them from Ford Racing. Local sppeed shops charge $70-80. I saw one on the internet for $30, But forgot where. Do some looking around. Its identicle to the Ford OEM. Just not from the dealer, so they lower the price a bit from $139.00. This helps because they know @ 139.00 that the people who take their cars to the dealer will pay this price. People who buy Ford Racing can go else where. Good Luck

When I bought my TKO for my Fox they said it did, and the TKO length Fox shaft they sent was noticeably shorter than the old one. Both were FRPP aluminum, not that it matters. When we spec'd it after install, it was gapped right where it belonged, but the old one would not have been. I wish I remembered the measurement but I don't- my tech pulled it from Alldata.
