Okay, I've been searching forums up and down and can't seem to find any definative answers. What I want to do is replace only the head unit in my 01' Mach 460 setup. I know the whole story about using the amps and the difference in ohms. I have looked at the adaptors from Scosche and want to know if I can make it work using the following:
Scosche FDK10 - Wiring Harness for Mach 460 systems
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SCOFDK10
FAI-3 OEM Interface Adaptor - Speaker-to-line level converter
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/SCOFAI3
Now it is my understanding that this would make the new head unit work with the existing speakers. My only concern is that I've heard that the tweeters are powered off of an amp that is housed in the original HU. Is this true? If so, how can I power the tweeters? Or am I way off here? Thanks in advance!
