Its a free country and my car...your opinion is yours mine is mine. People can make fun of whatever they want...I would expect nothing less from a very good friend. A real gearhead IMHO does not care, its what makes the car "his". Ford may have gave me the canvas but the rest is all me. I only feel a few things in life justify the term sacred God, family, life, country. Passion is what I would call it and that is open for each one of us to define on our own.
I know my car is a GT not a cobra I have never said it was a cobra...I am not getting cought up on a name or paper saying its special IMHO all mustangs are special...look around you in everyday life and a lot of people wish they could have a mustang or want one most do not know a 93 from a 94 if you told them only about what year you have.
Me its not about being a real cobra but I do like some of the looks. I specificly bought a GT as I knew I was going to tear into it at some point and did not see the point of doing that to a real cobra or paying a premium out the box to do so. If they are special (and I do think for historic sake they are) why mod them and make them less than what they are? I do 100% get your point when it comes time to sell...if your trying to pass it off as a real cobra to get the premium they get. If I got a cobra (I almost bought a 96 right before I bought my 94, and may look into getting a 93 cobra in a few years) I would leave it fairly stock.
I meant the "race" thing as that is why we are into these cars or atleast what got us into them at one point or another. Enjoy the hobby that is all anyone MUST do...or it will go away.
