to port or not to port?

i cant decide if i want to spend the extra $1000 to port my heads when the new engine goes in. i'm wanting to put 600 to the wheels. i have the following going on the engine

Novi 2K with 2.8 pulley and 10% OD crank pulley (20+psi)
forged rotating assembly
windage tray
canton oil pan
MPH blower cams
Bassani mid-length headers
O/R bassani x pipe
8 rib kit

should all these get me where i want to be or should i port the heads too? if i dont hit 600 i can buy a notrous kit for less than $1000.

what intake are you going to use?

i would think you could hit 600 with 20psi without porting the heads, but thats just opinion.

you can make 600rwhp with unported heads, but it's alot hard than with ported heads. i say spend the extra money on the heads.

not sure on the intake yet. i was looking at the new trickflow one but i havent heard anything good about yet. either the P51 of the TF
