to tune or not to tune?

i dont see anything wrong with 87 ive never had any sort of knock or detonation problem, ford recomends 87 dont they? but im not aware of any sort of advantage of running higher octane since its mechanicly sound as it is.
the only performance advantage of running 91 is that when its tuned you can add a couple more degrees of timing for a little bit more power. Its not going to burn any cleaner.

i would really love to do the xcal2 but the problem im thinking of is wether the 87 tune would be worth the $400.

Hey, if you go that route, let me know. I'm thinking of getting an 87 tune also in hopes to making my shifts a little more responsive. (I hate that little lag before the revs drop.)

Since I drive over 100 miles a day, keeping it at 87 will save me quite a bit of $$$$.

Hey white06, by the way, I'm over in Tujunga! You know about the car meet at the theater in Montrose every Saturday morning?
