To upgrade the fan or to upgrade the Radiator?

I have a C&R myself... def a badazz unit. I got mine on Ebay from a close out for cheap money...some dude had (6) he was selling.... they retail for crazy money. Stock unit is cheese compared to these...

185 in the South Florida heat. C&R Aluminum Radiator, 180 Stat, 2 bottles of water wetter, 60 Water / 40 Coolant, stock Fan switched on HIGH at all times. Oh and a real gauge.

South Florida heat isn't anything like the Texas summer heat, I promise you:/
But that's pretty awesome operating temperatures!
The real gauge must be why it stays so low
With my new harness it mostly operates at high speed so that isn't a problem

I also have a C&R Radiator. I bought it from Steeda back when they were selling them. Can't speak highly of it enough. I've had it for 10 years now, and I have never had any of the problems people have with other aluminum radiators. The factory setting for the fan is something like 212 degrees. I know for sure it's over 200 degrees.

I'm going to set it around 190 to 200 degrees for the fan to kick on. It's kind of a guess since it's a turn screw adjustment but I have an idea of where it should be.

You must be pretty lucky, people seem to always have fluidynes and mishimotos (if they didn't shop around long) and complain about problems.
I'm not downing the fluidynes but I always read about them being leak prone after a few years.

Yeah, I've read that about the fluidynes too. Some reason nobody ever buy BeCool brand radiators and I never hear anything bad about them.

I think the reason no one buys BeCool is that they're pretty expensive compared to the Fluidynes and their counterparts. I guess with radators, as with everything else, you get what you pay for.
