Hey all. I am about to by a Speedster Tonneau Cover for my Vert. It is made by Classic Design Concept and the price is $625. For those of you who have one on your Vert, how is the fit? Will I have to cut out two notches for it to fit with my CDC Lightbar? Are you satisfied with it? I want to know before I plunk down $1000 :jaw: give or take for the part and the paint job. Thanks.

I have the black vinyl soft one from Ford (cost less than $100 shipped). It is well-engineered, fits perefectly, can be fitted or removed in minutes, and folds for storage in the trunk when not in use.

Do you like the appearance of a hard cover a lot better?

I do like the appearance of the hard cover, but I have seen pictures of the one you have and it looks good in pictures. You say it fits perfectly, but I notice that when my convertible top is down, the folded top sticks up higher then the surounding molding. Doesn't this cause pointy bumps to stick up under the soft cover? Or is it flat and smooth over the entire soft cover? I have never seen the soft tonneau cover in person, I wish I could. Thanks for your help.

If we get a sunny day this weekend, I'll post some pics taken at various angles so you can see the fit where the folded top projects.

I have not given consideration to your styling bar. It could present a mounting problem, as the soft tonneau extends all the way to where the seat belts retract into the trim.

You can get a Saleen Tonneau for like $480 from Haney Motorsports, that's what I have and it fits just fine, with my light bar and all.

Thanks stangboy, I called Haney and they have the exact same cover that CDC has for $150 less. Both come from Saleen, Haney is about 45 min. from Saleens shop in Ca., CDC is way over in Florida, hence the price difference. I owe you one. Thanks!

HAS THE SPEEDSTER TONNEAU THAT IS PRENOTCHED FOR THE LIGHT BAR FOR MUCH CHEAPER.. THE FIT IS PERFECT!

But they only sell a 2 piece, correct? I am leaning towards the 1 piece, even though it is more of a pain in the ass to install and won't fit in the trunk. Does the Cervini unit fit without modification with a light bar?

Time required to put on: 2 minutes.
Time required to remove: 40 seconds.
I wasn't rushing in either case.
Because the weather was cool up here in NE (48 degrees), I did not wait for the wrinkles to stretch out, or pull the leading edges forward for a smoother fit. In warm weather , it fits a lot better.

You can see bulges where the folded top sticks up higher than the body. They don't bother me, but it is understandable that they might be objectionable to others. Pieces of foam glued to the backside would smooth them out.

No, nothing flaps or buffets at 70mph.
Not easy to see in the pics, the part just behind the front seat has a stamped Mustang logo, mesh areas near the rear speakers, and tabs that tuck under the edge of the lower rear seat cushion to keep it tight.

Thanks for the pics. Your car looks like it is the same color as mine. She looks sharp with that soft cover. I need to find out if it will fit with my styling bar. If so, I will be getting one after seeing it on your Mustang. :nice: Can't go wrong for $100. I will still be getting the Saleen toneau cover too. That way I can choose between the two according to the weather, even though I don't drive my car in the rain, I have been caught in it a time or two. I don't even have wipers, have the UPR Wiper Delete, cleans up the windshield area nice. Thanks again.
