OK. Haney's told me they just drive over to Steve's shop and bug him until they give it up. I wonder why CDC charges $625 while Haney's only charges $475. Interesting.

Probably because they're in MI... if they keep stocl then they would have to ship it from CA to MI then ship to you.. those freight costs can get high.. Haney just drives up the road and picks them up.. then ships to you.

2 piece cervini

I opted for the 2 piece cervini cover. I got it a couple of months ago, but I still need to get it painted.

The Saleen cover looks a bit nicer, but you are in deep $hit when it starts raining and you are 30-60 minutes from home.....

Just my $0.02.

As long as you are moving and you also have the wind-gaurd you most likely will not get wet.

I drove from VA to Detroit (almost 600 miles) in the rain with my Speedster cover on for the Ford 100 Show, as I knew it was all highway, and I did not get wet. Just outside of Detroit I pulled into a covered gas station and did the following:

1> remove wind-gaurd and lay it on back seats

2> remove speedster cover and turn it 90* so that the front edge was toward the drivers side of the car

3> moved the seats to full recline

4> slid the Speedster cover under the lightbar all the way forward so that it had part of it resing on the dash

5> put up the top

6> slid the Speedster cover back off from the dash so that the rear was all the way back

7> rolled up the windows

8> got it and drove away dry for the last few miles, then parked the car on the showgrounds

As I have done this process before it took perhaps 4 minutes if that. If I had somebody riding shotgun, they would have had a bad last few miles curled up under the cover. The reason why you put it the way I said is so that the driver ends up sitting in one of the cutouts that goes around one of the seats.

Thats a neat little trick! I wish I had known about it before I went ahead and purchased my 2-piece cover.. the Saleen cover looks nicer than the 2 piece... but I guess I have to live with what I've got...

Better jump on the bandwagon cause its gonna be 3 months til saleen gets to you. And on top of that you might need alot of body work straight from saleen.

Oh and dont forget even if it was used your getting it painted anyway smart guy

What is this post supposed to mean? Used is used. An e-bay purchase could be all banged up, cracked, chipped, or not what it was advertised as. Painting it does not change the fact that it is NEW and has a 3 year warranty. And by the way, it will be at my house in 3-7 business days, direct from Haney's. How's that, Einstein?

Roger, you have been on the edge of being banned. You make light of several serious tech issues, you insult good upstanding members, and frankly, the mom comment was the last straw. Go find another board to pester.
