Did you just run last Friday night? I see you are in Austin and I was wondering if you were at the San Antonio track Friday night. I was there too and a little disapointed with my times as well. I could only get my Pacific Green Cobra to go a 13.9, but it was my first time at the track ever. Ima take my Rio Red Cobra and an 04 T bird this Friday. Man that was fun, but I do need a lot of practice.

Could be weather related as well. Were the other cars running high as well?

Your 60ft is not good you could easily gain 3-4 tenths with a good hard launch on your drags.

Reaction means nothing in actual 1/4 mile time and speed. Work on shifting and 60ft. It will come around.

Your MPH seems way low though. I had 98mph with just a plenum, CAI, and flow mufflers.

Soft up front as well. While you're at it, take the front swaybar off as well.

You want them to be stiff in the back or sort of stiff.

Ok, here begins the meltdown. I have installed 390 gears, prochamber exhaust with 2 chamber flows(no cats),long tube headers, accufab plenum and 75mm throttle body, intake spacer, throttle body spacer, cold air intake, pro 5.0 shifter,18" saleens with 305 nitto dr out back, steeda clutch cable and qaudrant, and I won't start on the cosmetic mods. Point? I went to the track for the first time and on the motor I ran a 14.5 flat at 95mph. I also have 100 shot wet kit and ran 13.46 at 105mph. This is horrible. Off the bottle I am being beat by stock mustangs. I know you might say it's the driver but I had a .056 reaction time on the motor and .068 on the nitrous. I am told this is very good. The only thing I know left to do is add a pro m 85mm mass air flow sensor, which will be here on Thursday. I will let you know but in the mean while, besides needing a tuning what the @!$&* is the problem? Why am I out thousands of dollars and slower?

Reaction time does't mean ****. Its your 60' that matters and the overall 1/4. And i've never even been to the track and can tell you that...

I would personally get a tune with all the mods you have, and i would also ditch the 3.90's for 4.10s But thats just me

Isn't it kinda unsafe to run N2O without a good tune? I surely wouldn't...

I think you need to stop looking at your ET and start looking at your MPH. ET can be affected by a lot of things, including traction, etc. Your MPH is really low for your mods, since stock 01's will run 99-101. Since you mentioned stock mustangs are pulling you from a 20mph roll, that points again to something wrong with your car. Instead of throwing more money at it with a maf, plenum, whatever, find out whats wrong with it now. I would start with a quick tuneup if its been awhile (including the fuel filter), look for vacuum leaks, after-maf air leaks, etc. And if that doesn't do it you need to start looking into getting it on a scanner and try to find some information (I'm talking about a data scanner, not just a code scanner). Don't throw more mod money at it if its not running right to begin with.

Anything you gained with your headers and no cats, you gave back with the 18 inch rims. Your other mods are essentially useless. Start by getting the car on the dyno and see what it's making. Your 60 foots are horrible, so that's a good place to start. Also, forget about your reaction times. They don't affect your ET's.

Lot's of info. Hope I catch everyone's questions. I am working on getting some rims for the track but not totally ditching the saleens...to sweet. I'll work on a picture. As far as the tune, I talked to a guy today that in the next few weeks is going to do a 6 bank flip chip tune. He gaurantees that he can fix the problem... chip and what ever else. With the Nos, I am only on a 100 shot and I have all the safety mods(window switch, fuel reg, full throttle switch) and it's a wet kit. No problems there because you don't have to retard the timing until 125 or better and then it's 2 degrees for every 25 hp beyond 100. I am however getting the chip tuned for 125 and 150 so I can bump that up with an easy jet swap and be safe. I have stayed at a 100 for that reason. I agree I need practice but most of all the dyno and it's coming. Couple of weeks because it's $550 which is cheap but I gotto pull it together. I had two reasons for this post, one for feed back and two to keep others from making the same mistake I made...to many mods and no tune. Now as far as the comment about not that many mods, what else is there for the engine besides a tune? This is a serious question, no sacarsim intended. I know cams but not ready to got there yet. Thanks for all the feedback and watch for my post with the results. Not this friday but next am going to SAF to get a better track because the last track has a bad rep and it was very very humid and hot to answer that question. I will also post before and after dyno results upon tuning...stay tuned and thanks again

First off, your mph is low 13's so Im gonna go out on a limb and say the track wasn't the best. Even w/o the spray, u should be low 13's with your mods. Try pwrshifting and see what happens. If I can run 13.8@101, I know youre at low 13's for sure, just gotta figure out whats slowing you down.

I think that those spacers are hurting you more than they are helping. Try a Timming Adjuster and advance the timming to extract some hp, then hit the track N/A

Your 14.5 @ 95 suggests rwhp around 220 or so.

http://www.modulardepot.com/hpc.php

The hp curve on the 4.6 2v drops pretty fast after 5500. If your shifting at redline or above, your losing time. Try shifting at 5500 for your N/A run.

Yea dud somethings wrong, I ran 14.4 at 96.5 at SAR about a month ago...that trap is what tells the tell...dont worry much about the time, thats mainly driver related where as the MPH stays pretty much the same as long as you nail it and shift good.Anyways hope you figure out whats up with it.

Certainly not an expert here, but reviewed my dyno charts and also Kenne Bells N/A charts before supercharging for the 2v.

Slight variations depending on the tune, but for my car.
Typical Peak TQ is 280-290 @ 4100-4200. Down to 210-215 at 5700.
Typical Peak HP is 242-247 @ 4900-5000. Down to 220-225 at 5700.

TQ usually crosses HP @ 5200-5300.

My charts look very similiar to the Kenne Bell N/A charts found here.
http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/ford/gt96-03_2v/gt96-03_2.htm

Dyno guy said to experiment shifting at 5500-5700 and see what works best.
Going to the track tomorrow night, so I'll see. I was shifting at 6000 where my hp is usually down to 210-215.

Where do you suggest shifting at?

I shift closer to 6k,If you shift at a low rpm, you put yourself at a lower rpm in the next gear. Therefore, you are getting further and further away from where your power is.
