I had some 245/50-16 nitto drag radials on some 16" GT wheels so I bolted em up and went to the track Saturday night.

First time taking the Bullitt to the track and I didn't get many runs to try things, but the 3rd pass came out ok. The track was hooking good so the first to runs the car bogged flat on its face.

Here's how it went:

2.185
9.250 @ 77.05 mph
14.285 @ 98.30 mph

2.178
9.300 @ 76.79 mph
14.356 @ 97.91 mph

2.077
8.905 @ 79.20 mph
13.840 @ 99.87 mph

+2100' DA

Best corrects to 13.52 @ 102.18 mph

3420 race weight

good times! whats the differences between a bullit and standard GT? I looked but all I found were the appearance and suspension stuff.

performance wise is just a different intake manifold and cat-back exhaust. and a slightly different tune in the PCM.

Good times, first 2 60' could improve. :D

so could the 3rd...but I've had the car for 10 days and those were the first 3 passes at the track. so i was surprised by the 3rd pass.

Corrected that is a decent run. What was the elevation at the track and how hot was it?

I took mine to the track a couple of weeks ago and I ran the following:

60ft 2.251
1/8 9.185
MPH 79.09
1/4 14.080
mph 101.1

I have now idea what it would be corrected but I was about 600ft above see level and it was in the upper 80's. I only really got one run so it kinda sucked but they best GT that night ran 14.2's at 98 or 99 and he had a few mods. There was also a mach 1 there that ran

60ft 2.217
1/8 9.139
MPH 79.16
1/4 14.020
mph 101.69

It was so close I almost beat him. :bang:

how do you figure? I've had an 03 GT and it never touched 99.8 mph stock even in MUCH better weather. A bullitt will put down on average 10-15 more rwhp than a GT.

not to mention the better torque curve...
 10-15rwhp? How do you figure? From the intake, oval tb, pulleys, and a cat back?

Yes. That intake is a lot better than you think. Im pretty shure it didn't come stock with better pulleys. Also the suspension is helping it get down the track too. That suspension is very nice. My Bullitt felt like it pulled harder than my 97(Green)Cobra, and wouldn't be surprised if it did. I got my Pacific Green to go a best of 13.9 (it was my 1st time at the track and my 60 ft was a 2.2)

The Bullitt did come with better pulleys to match the Cobra alternator.

People who buy the Bullit intake for 99+ GT's garner minimal gains. They mainly buy it for the strength.

The suspension definately helps it get down the track but I'd like to see a dyno of a stock Bullitt 10-15rwhp more than a stock GT.

After owning a 00GT and now an 01 Bullitt there are differences. The bullitt has a lot more low end torque and it bulls better up top. Not many GT's can hit 101mph on their first run without mods. Plus I have seen Bullitts hittng 102mph stock. The motor feels more balanced that the regular GT motor. My 00GT had a accufab plenum, TB, offroad x pipe, and a diablo chip and feels as fast as my Bullitt. Also most bullitts that I have seen but down 240rwhp and with a filter and off road pipe are hitting 250rwhp.

Stock GT dyno's hopefully Stangnet members will post, it's impossible to search stangnet. imboc worked well

EDIT: Here's that 251/280 Bullitt... wtf? most of the dynos in the imboc dyno forum are mid 230rwhp.
