I'm tearing down the top half of the engine and was quickly stopped by the upper intake. I bought this car with the Trick Flow Street Burner intake already on it. There are two 12 point 3/8" bolts in the center that I can't seem to find a way to get at. Standard 12 point sockets are too fat to fit in the recess.

I suspect nut drivers or thin walled sockets might work, but it seems nobody local sells these in 12 point. Even then, I'm not sure which would fit or not until I've already spent the money.

What works for you?

A 1/4" drive might work better, they are usually smaller in size for gettin into small areas

Ahh, and the 12 point socket set I bought only goes down to 3/8". Doh.

Thanks for checking.

Btw, it was a plain old 5/16" 12-point for those bolts. Thanks for the help, guys.
