What's done to your motor? The lower intake is the biggest bottleneck on a stock engine.

An intake will give you the best bang for the buck. If you are keeping the stock heads for a while, look into the edelbrock performer (not RPM), TF street heat, Cobra, GT40, or one of Tmoss' ported stock lowers. Will pull harder into the 5K range, until the stock heads start to choke; should be worth somewhere in the area of +/- 20 HP at the rear wheels in the upper rpms.

I second the intake and X pipe. Both will shift the power to a higher rpm and make more top end power.

Can I assume you've bumped the timing? Shorty headers are also a good mod for the '93. (More gains than you would get on a later '94-95 5.0). If you are going to keep the car mostly stock, get the MAF bored to 60mm. It's good for about 5 hp at higher rpm. If you are panning to do more serious mods later, skip that and just wait and buy a good 80mm Mass Air later when you do the rest of the mods.

If he sticks with the intakes I listed, he won't lose anything on the bottom end either. There are also a lot of things I would spend money before buying an x-pipe as well..........
