Torque converter change

All,

I have my engine pulled out of my 95 GT now, and while it is out I am changing the torque converter to take care of my shuddering problem.

The question(s) I have:

1. Should I replace the seal on the front of the transmission if it was not previously leaking?

2. If I should replace this seal, is there a tool to remove/install it? How do you do this?

The trans is still in the car, so the angles are not the best.

Well I changed the seal, and yes there is a tool. Found it at harbor freight for about $15. A few taps with the hammer and seal was out.

I put a 2100 stall converter in it. Supposed to be stock converter for the supercharged v6. I didn't want to go to high. I need some semblance of gas mileage when I am done
