torque converter ???? Lockup?

i have a 91 automatic gt with edelbrock heads and gt.40 intake b-303 cam 3.73 gears. will a 3,000 stall lock-up work fine or do i need a non lock up. this will be driven regularly. my tranny guy said it will have problems shifting down from 3rd and 4th gear.

from what i remember from tranny class ur tranny has to made for a lock up converter, u can tell by looking at the end of the input shaft on the trans...not sure what trans is or not though

i run a 3200rpms lock up converter from edge racing and its perfect. very streetable and there is no trouble shifting up or down.
