Hello, Here's a question about the torque convertor used in 1966 Mustangs. I converted a standard shift Mustang to automatic, using a transmission out of a Comet, probably a 1964 model. Here's the problem ----- The 200 CID engine in my Mustang revs very quickly and idles rough. Could the torque convertor on the old transmission be too light for the 200 CID engine. Was there really a difference in the torque convertors that would show up with these symptoms? The motor revs so quickly now that it will actually slip the belts and you just can't ease down on the throttle without spinning the wheels most times. Help!!!

Cool, not many I6's can boast that! I'm not a transmission guru and I know how it is to have problems. I just wanted to say..."cool". I am wondering if the engine was doing this before the conversion.
