This is probly a dumb question but what mods can you do that gives you alot of torque? I plan on getting the heads from thumper with the small valves because i know that give you good low end power but what else will give me a noticeable increase in torque? I need some because i autocross on the weekends.
Thanks

Yup, displacement is about the best way to do it....that or a power adder.

Very nice website. Iam looking into buying my friends 240z because of gas prices and if so a turbo will be the first thing i do. I like the turbo better then a supercharger.

Any street-oriented parts are tuned to give a lot more torque.. like a quarter race cam, street upper and lower intake, will all give you useable power.. definately get gears first before anything.

if you want real down low torque...get some gears and a kenne bell. full boost by 2100 rpm....next step will certainly be a quest for traction. good luck

Gears gears gears. 3.73's or lower put you in neck snapping zone, even on a stocker.

If you don't want to go with something as extreme as a blower a cheaper alternative that might help you pick up a little horsepower and torque at all RPM would be a set of U/D pulleys. Every little bit helps and for under $100.00....it's tough to beat.

If superchargers are out of the picture.....there's no replacement for displacement.

You can go as big as 347 in a stock block, though I would only go as big a 331. Both would add noticeable low end improvments and still allow daily driver capability.

Weight reduction.

It wont add torque but it will feel like you did.
