I installed my UPR k member kit a few weeks ago. and out of nowhere the arms stared to squeek when i went over bumps.. i thought i had to tighten them up more to stop the squeeking but when i got under there, i noticed that the bushings are being smashed to the point that it looks as if the tube on the a-arm is going to cut the urathane bushing... i remember torquing them to 130 like the ford book said.. I'm scared to loosten em up because i dont want it to be unsafe.... any ideas guys?
torque suspension components with the vehicle on the ground. you can put the bushings in a pinch if not. loosen em up some lower the vehicle down and re-torque em down.
Sounds good thanks guys... upr actually called me today and said to put WD-40 on it sounds a lil funky to me but i'm going to do what you guys said and put assembly lube on it.. maybe i'll just fill the tubes with the grease just for kicks..

DCales is right. You MUST tighten the bolts with the car on the ground (or ramps). Just make sure they are in their normal position. Then tighten. Yes, this is impossible, so when I had the front end aligned afterward, I had them do it for me.
Oh, and mine do make a little noise, but it's no big deal. Seems to drive just fine, and if I didn't do the work myself, I probably wouldn't even notice it.
