Heres the situation. My buddy ordered his tcp rack and pinion from mustang depot about 2 weeks ago. Just called mustand depot today to find out the status, only to find out that mustang depot cannot get anything from them anymore and recieved a refund for his purchase. Called mustangs plus, they don't sell tcp stuff either. Called tcp and got the voice mail. Whats going on? Still need to order the front suspension and rack and pinion. Where does he need to go buy this stuff.

There was a TCP rumor thread about a month ago...

HERE

I doubt anything has changed in that period of time. YOu may want to contact TCP directly, or maybe Psydwayze <sp> will chime in and let us know if anything has changed.

Wonder if Lino (Psydwaze) will see this and clarify what's going on.

I can clarify...TCP is just about done. I have heard from a few sources that they are so far behind, and have so little help, that they may never catch up. It has been a month since I ordered my upper control arms, and still no product. They also already took my 600.00 bucks.

DO NOT order anything TCP. Go Global West, or one of the other suppliers.

I am a fan of both TCP and GW products, but do your home work. I have read several threads that indicate that GW is experiencing its own growing pains too.

Well, now you can't even leave a message with TCP. Their voice mail is full.

Does anyone know the proper method for recourse? It's becoming apparent that the rumors floating around a month ago are true, and now I can't even call them to ask for my money back.

Any ideas?

I dont know if the rumors are true or not but since they are not responding to you I offer this:
If you put the $600 on credit card you can contact your credit card company and have the charges reversed/charged back because "the service or product was never delivered or recieved" you'll have to fill out a form and it may take a couple of weeks but it will happen. if you paid by check or cash you'll have to contact them to get it back, unless you get an attorney to write a letter demanding the refund that usually works well and quickly and most lawyers will put together a letter pretty inexpensive.

Hope it works out for you one way or another.

I heard from my source today, and they are still in business. They might behind, but they have not closed the doors. While my source is very reliable, I would prefer to hear from Lino, a representative of the company, to come out and give us a definitive answer.

Even if they really are still in business, these rumors are not helping with their reputation which will definitely affect their sales.

Lino, are you listening?

Forgive me, but an unnamed source at this point doesn't really prove anything. Not only is NOBODY answering the phone, but there is now no ability to leave voice messages. People have been waiting months for products. If they aren't on the way out the door, customer service like that is gonna push them out of it soon enough.

You can dispute a check card transaction just the same as a credit card.

Hey guys!

While they are behind they are not out of business. We had someone stop by there on Wednesday and verified they are working very hard, just not answering the phone. Can't say I agree with the manner in which they are dealing with this. Mustangs Plus is definately not in the picture.

This thing has truely created a customer service nightmare for us since we are their #1 volume distributor. We have many people waiting patiently for this to pan out. We do offer alternatives like Global West, Flaming River and Heidt's Mustang II front ends for people who will consider alternatives and can't wait.

mdjay, thanks for the info. I suppose one way to catch up is to just lock the doors, put the phone on voicemail only, and put your nose to the grindstone until you get caught up.

It just sucks to not be able to have any kind of timeline for a shipment!
