Total Control Products, where to buy?

mdjay, thanks for the info. I suppose one way to catch up is to just lock the doors, put the phone on voicemail only, and put your nose to the grindstone until you get caught up.

It just sucks to not be able to have any kind of timeline for a shipment!

In the meantime, they have lost MY business. I called to order a R&P setup. I dont feel comfortable ordering from a company that decides randomly (yeah bad spelling) IF they are going to support their product. Sure, they have the choice to turn their phones off (or kick it to voicemail, which I thought I heard was now full), but what a TERRIBLE business decision. If they had significant competition, they would be dead in the water.

Well, sounds like there just really busy. So i can't see why they would be going out of business. Busy is good right? Right. Maybe they just need to get some more help. Sounds like they have been selling faster then they are producing. Which i believe is a good thing.

That was exactly my thought. To have more demand than supply usually does not force one out of business. C'mon, how hard can it be to find good reliable help, honestly? It seems that with a little funding they could really hire some skilled people and pump up their business. Hmmm, maybe they should go public and sell stocks?

In either case, I agree, they are not handling this well at all. :nonono:

Well depending on HOW they handled their help in the past (as well as their funds) could be the reason for these problems.

Their policy USED to be don't charge the customers card until the product is shipped, however they went right on ahead and charged my card three weeks ago, so that leads me to believe that they are hurting for money.

I dunno...it's all speculation at this point, and without a person to call, nor any returned messages, we are all sitting in the dark.

TCP

I've heard that TCP was hard to get in touch with. I checked into Flaming River and they were helpful. Their kit is about the same price, plus you get tilt with theirs. Steeroids is also coming out with an R&P kit this summer, don't know what the price will be, but from what I can tell it is in the same ball park as the other two companies. Personally, I would get my money back and go with Flaming River.

Heres the situation. My buddy ordered his tcp rack and pinion from mustang depot about 2 weeks ago. Just called mustand depot today to find out the status, only to find out that mustang depot cannot get anything from them anymore and recieved a refund for his purchase. Called mustangs plus, they don't sell tcp stuff either. Called tcp and got the voice mail. Whats going on? Still need to order the front suspension and rack and pinion. Where does he need to go buy this stuff.

Is this something new? I have been returning any checkcard offers from my bank because they aren't supposed to have those protections like a credit card..

That would be news to me. Most checkcards are now offering fraudulent use protection now, like credit cards, but I haven't heard of any that will settle disputes with merchants. They are like writing a check (thus the name), therefore you would have the same protections as writing a check - none.

Although banks are constantly changing policies and procedures to get business, maybe someone has started offering it. Like I said, it would be news to me.

I ordered a complete rack and power steering pump setup along with their motor supports. directly from TCP about 4 months ago. I have yet to receive anything, but they did take my money. They never told me about such a delay. I beleive that flaming river has started to produce the steering racks. If anyone confirms this let us all know

Yes, Flaming River is making the steering racks. Cheaper, but no power steering yet.

Good luck.

TCP is done

I just got a phone call and appearently, TCP closed its doors today. Not like the writing wasn't already on the wall. It's really too bad, as they did offer some good products.

If you ordered something from them by credit card and have already been charged but have not received the product, I'd start the charge back process immediately. I doubt you'll ever see your product.
