I live in San Diego and was looking for performance shops other then JBA. I found 2 shops called Total Performance & The Dyno shop in San Diego. Anybody have experience with these shops or , because I'm looking for a good place to have my stock 3.27's changed out for some real gear. Also is the Dynoshop good a doing dynotunes .

I've never been to Total Performance. You know we run our DynoPerformance.com Dyno Days at TheDynoShop.

I also had the custom tuning done for my cobra there. Have been very happy with the tune, made some good power, my A/F ration is nearly flat, and picked up some gas mileage too! :nice:

They have dynojet dyno that we use for the dyno days, since most people want a dynojet run for comparison, and it allows easy conversion between SAE and STD results. Mark does most of the actual tuning on their dynodynamics dyno that allows running with loads at various RPM's. I think JBA uses a dynodynamics dyno also, but I'm not positive.

Even without the dyno days, I'm very happy with the work they did for me and I would consider them for any work I was not willing to take on myself (or for making it right after I attempt something I shouldn't have  ).

I've had quite a bit of work done at Total Performance including a complete engine w/ head porting, and drivetrain work. Greg Gossett does great work and won't sell you something you don't need. He's not cheap, but then good work rarely is. I would highly recommend him. I also had a chip burned at the DynoShop. They did a good job too.
