TPS adjustment.. Before or after?

Okay, I've got the throttle body adjusted for idle at 900 rpms with the IAC disconnected. I'm putting a new TPS sensor on tomorrow and I'm kinda confused if the voltage needs to be set at .999v where the TB is set at now or with the butterfly fully closed.

I'm kinda thinking that wouldn't make sense because with the blade fully closed and the TPS set at .999 volts... adjusting it later would raise the voltage well over 1 volt.

I feel like I could be wrong thou. Can anybody set me straight on this?

Well that's just great. I had it off the car a day or so ago and noticed dremel carvings around the mounts.

Maybe it's no wonder I'm having issues.
As long as the TPS is functioning correctly -- that is, the readings are linear and do not have any spikes as you open the throttle -- it won't matter if someone tried to adjust it by turning it. The reason it is not adjustable on 94/95 Mustangs is because the EEC will take the voltage from the TPS when the car is started as the baseline, and calculate throttle position from there. The reason the TPS is adjustable on pre-94 Mustangs is because the EEC just used 1.00V as the breakpoint for closed/part throttle.
