TPS Orange wire goes where?

PLEASE help me confirm this tapped wire is right!

when I put this used 5.0 harness in my car during the swap, I found that the orange wire comming from the other end of the TPS plug went no where. It was a bare wire. I then realized there was another orange wire from the EGR to the main harness which had a spot which was also bare. So...I tapped them together because I could not see any other place for this TPS wire to go.

I drove the car this way since 2 years ago, but I've had some slight surge issues and flashing engine light once and a while. I have also gotten tps codes which I replaced the tps sensor and it doesn't seem to have any room for adjustment. My issue has gotten worse over time, but it seems that when I hit bumps on the road it aggravates the issue making me think it's just this tap connector that's a problem.

Before I make myself nuts, can someone confirm this orange wire from the TPS where it's supposed to go? ...who knows if the wiring is supposed to be like this? And will this tap connector mess with the reading from the tps?

The colors should match. If I remember right the orange is the 12 volt supply and the green is the signal return wire and blk is ground

According to this diagram the orange wire #26 is tied into the egr and tps among other sensors. So it wont matter.

If the tps will not adjust you can drill out the 2 screw holes to give it more freedom to move.
