Will the stock FRPP 31 spline Trac Loc handle ~400 RWHP and 400 ft lbs of torque? The Cobra version is on backorder forever according to Summit and I want to put my gears in sometime this year! Is there a better product out there than the Ford?
thanks

I am a big fan of the Trac Lok upgraded with the extra clutches. I have built several that have been in 500+ rwhp Mustangs. Try ebay and you can get them for under $100 in 31 spline used. Add a fresh set of clutches and you will have no issues.

I do not like the Auburn unit for the reason of not being able to rebuild it. The lockers can get a bit hairy in wet weather on tighter turns.

Get the auburn unit... Of course my car isn't driven daily, I don't have any problems with it. Now all I have to do is my motor this winter and I will be all set.

IF your strapped for cash, just get your trac loc rebuilt and then worry about it in 70,000 miles.
