Should I be able to tell a difference by looking at them... cause they sure look a lot alike! I'm hoping I didn't get ripped off on eBay.

Go here: Ultrastang - Steve Ainsworth From there, navigate to Info > Ford 9-inch Rear end Info > Differential types. There are pictures of an open carrier next to a T-Lok.
