Lets see.... I think its about 20 to race, but there is an additional fee the first time down (each season) for your number, I think that was another 10 bucks.
- Wear closed toe shoes
- a t-shirt or better
- bring a helmet
- pull AROUND the water when you pull up toward the line (water will get picked up in the tread of street tires and deposited at the starting line and down the track)
- dont do a big long burnout with street tires, just a quick spin to clean them off (unless they are drag radials).
- go slow down the return road and through the pits (dont be "that guy")
- the little "outhouse" next to the return road is where you pick up your timeslip
- take all the unnecessary crap out of your car before you go to the track. If something goes wrong, those items become missles, bouncing around inside the car WITH YOU.
- run your front tires with an extra pound or two of air to reduce rolling resistance as much as possible
- dont drop your rear tires below about 26-28lbs, (unless their DR's) if you get them too low, they "cup" and reduce the useable footprint
- If your really gung-ho you can do stuff like pull the pass seat, the front sway bar, the spare and jack, the sub box, etc.... but driving to and from can kinda suck with no tunes, or a flat.
Hope this helps,
Dave-
