Does anybody go into 3rd gear for their burnout? I always shift to second in my burnout and could probably easily go to 3rd for a little extra heat up time, but I was wondering if it could be bad to do. I've been to a track a few times and I'm going to go on sunday. It's going to be cold and it's hard for my car to hook up.thanks

Installing 4.30's this weekend :D from there on out im not even going to start my burnouts in first im going to just dump it in second, just because my first gear speed will be so low.

Just leave it in second, idk if i would try third you really have no reason too.

3rd would put excessive strain on the clutch and transmission. 2nd even with gears will get them hot enough, just spin the RPM higher and hold it longer if what you're doing now doesn't get them heated enough.
