Is Track-Lok a true LSD?

Is it standard on GTs? (I'm guessing, no)

What are it's advantages versus other LSDs/lockers?

What are it's disadvantages versus other LSDs/lockers?

Any recommendations?

I'm planning to add 4.10s, new 31 axles(Moser or FRPP), and control arms. This is a street car and not a daily driver, but it will be more street than track.

Trac-loc is just Ford's trademark name for a limited slip differential.

Posi-lok is GM's trademark name. They are both the same thing.

Ford has been making it standard on V8 Mustangs since 1984 or somewhere around there

1. Yes trac loc came on all GT's
2. There really are no advantages/disadvantages....all personal preference
3. put a 31 spline trac-loc in there with the 31 spline axles

i like the detroit tru- trac LSD personally.............nut like mentioned above best way is a 31 slpine set up
