Track questions.....racing tomorrow

Not really. The difference between being a good shifter and being a good shifter without letting off the gas would be VERY minimal. Just practice your shifting and you will be fine. Everybody seems to have the best "trick" to shifting....but honestly the best way to shift is by doing the exact same thing you do on the street, you just do it extremely fast.

powershifting is almost a night and day difference from regular shifting, it sounds like youve never tried it. Its good for shaving a few tenths off.

89five.o, hows it going. Are you going to race here in El Paso? If so let me know and I will be more than happy to let you try out my slicks.

Yeah me and a bunch of buddies are heading down there after I get out of class at about 9. Thanks for the offer! I would be really interested in seeing how my car does with slicks but will I break anything being that my studs are stock and I don't have torque box reinforcements? I only have 2.73's in my car so I guess it shouldn't be too bad.

I wouldn't worry to much, I don't have any reinforcements with stock studs as well and I have not had any problems. Just bring some water for your burn out and a jack/tools to remove your rear tires. I'll PM you my number.
