Track Results of my 04' GT

Well I took my car to the track last night, and I guess I should not be too dissapointed. The elevation of the track is close to 2500' above sea level so keep that in mind. Stock gatorbacks with no adjustments

My best run

14.29 @97.43mph w/ 2.24 60'

I had a run that I cut a 2.10 60' but I was shifting too high and I ran 14.38.

On my last run, my mph went up by almost 1mph by changing my shift points. 1-2 5800 2-3 5700
And I am screaming throught the traps at the top of 3rd.

There was a ton of cars out last night, and one that I kept my eye on was an 04' Mach 5 spd and he was running 14.0's at 100mph

Thanks, I am torn about the next mod though. Gears vs. Plenum/TB and the reason I say that is because I am hoping the the plenum/tb will lean me out a little. My a/f ratio on the dyno was like in the 11's, and it should be somewhere in the high 12's-low 13's.

You are running just fine for stock and your elevation.

No offense to you, but for all those folks who believe the '01+ GT's are running stronger than the '99-'00's, I hope this helps deflate that myth.

what were you shifting at 1-2 and 2-3 before you shifted 1-2 5800 2-3 5700?
what rpm did you launch at?

Just to get you pumped about getting a gear. When your crossing the 1/4 in 3rd at your rpms. I'm crossing the 1/8 mile in 3rd gear at like 6200 rpms. I have a 4.10

I think that is a good time. According to NHRA Correction Factors about 2500 FT with 14.29 ET equal about 13.9 ET at sea level. That is better than I was able to get. Still trying to get into the 13's...

and a little over 100 mph for the trap speed...

Thanks for the comments everyone. My best 60' time of that night was a 2.10 and on the run of 14.29 I came out just a tad too hard. I rolled out at about 15-1800 rpms.
