I have just purchased a 04 Cobra with 10k miles. The car was traded in at a Ford Dealership and I have not been able to speak with the previous owner. I ran car fax and the VIN with a local Ford dealer and found nothing worth worrying about.

The car appears to have the Steeda air filter, Steeda Idler and blower pulleys. The blower pulley measures 2 5/8", but the smallest I see on Steeda is a 2.8".

I think this may be turning the blower up too much. What do you guys think?

The car also has Magnaflow catback and the dealer says it has been tuned for the blower mods.

My question is..... The Traction control light stays on and doesn't change weather you press or depress the button.... Is this something that could be turned on or off with some type of program... Or is it just broken.... How can I correct this issue.

Thanks...

Sounds like the TC has been permanently disabled in the tune. For S & G's check and see if the ECU has a chip on the aux port. Doubtful I know because most people choose to flash the ECU via handheld these days versus having a chip burned. Ya never know though...

Was a handheld tuner (SCT/Diablo) provided with the car? I would suggest you get the car to a competent tuner and dyno. Let them spin it up on the rollers and check your A/F ratio. You need to know the current state of tune on the car before you start beating on it.

tune

I second what meat said. I just had my car tuned and wanted TC off. The tuner turned it off in the tune and now the light just stays on, meaning tc is off. Sounds exactly like what you are experiencing. I also agree to get it checked before you get onto it just to make sure it is okay. Not sure on the pulley though.

pulley

pulley maybe a 2.65"? What kind of pulley, does it say? That would help. Try to meaure more accurately, if possible. (5/8) is .625, so it is somewhere around there. bryan
