i dont have traction control and abs and would really like to add them to my car. i didnt get them with my car and wanted to add them is it hard? is it all electrical? what parts do i need and where can i get them at? i also read lots of people hate it and wish they didnt have it well if someone has there just sitting arround would you give it away???

i believe that traction control controls the t-lok in a gt's rear end. To get T-lok, you must first have a T-lok. The easyest and cheapest way of doing this is to go to a junkyard and pull a rear end from a GT the has been hit in the front. Then, it's as simple as unbolting your old rear end and bolting in your new one.

He is not refering to traction control NOT tlok units as the gt mustang has.

There is NO need for a traction control set up on your car UNLESS you live up north or have issues driving in the snow... If you have these then there is reason to go forward with adding it.

I also see why you would want to have abs... its not the easiest of items to add but not horrible I dont suppose, just get ready for some nice cost...

you could up grade your front brakes to cobra and stop MUCH MUCH better i know thats not an abs... but its an improved brake set up for pretty darn cheap (assuming you have 17 inch rims or can get some)

To add ABS to a non-ABS car, you would need to get:

-ABS module (computer)
-hydraulic control pack, containing pump, reservoir, and valving
-ABS-specific piping
-four toothed sensor rings, which are pressed onto the axles
-four wheel sensors
-ABS wiring and fusing, which the stock fusebox does not include

And then you would have to hope that it all worked once you got it all installed. You're talking a huge project here- not only in installation but also removal of the gear from the donor car. On a scale from 1 to 10, this one's a 12!

The traction control is integrated into the ABS system. It senses wheel slip and retards the timing to reduce engine power until the slippage stops. I don't know if there is a seperate module for that, or just the switch, but you would need those too!

It would be much, much easier to just buy a vehicle that came with this stuff!
