You can get a tuner to disable it, or fix the switch.

Mine is a 200GT and has it. Be sure to turn it off if you ever go on a chasis dyno-they use something similar here for our emission test and the clowns nearly fried my clutch. Every time the rear wheels started to spin the roller tc kicked on the brakes. Their solution: rev it up higher and drop the clutch.

See attachment...

This is the hole I don't know why it is there... I do have ABS but I do not have TC... it looks like a factory hole, not done by the previous owner...

That's not where it would be. That was prob for an alarm or something else.

The T/C button on the 99/00 cars is on the left side of the shifter. The cars that did not get t/c don't have a button there. It would look like this

The fuse also disables the ABS. Unsure why you would want to pull it though

The button in the 2001-2004 is in the lower radio face plate. The 99-00's had T/C and I think it was the old style switch that 5L5 posted the link to ebay to.

nah i dont think so man, i have a 99 and i have that switch

just to clarify, i have a 99 and i have ABS and T/C, AND its the same switch as said switch above, in the position that the defrost button would be in the newer mustangs (01-04).

Yeah, I'm not 100%....I should know this, because I had a 00GT back in 2004. I remember turning T/C off, but don't remember locaton of the switch.

Here you go.

If you have a 99-00 and have traction control. There is where the button is on Auto and Manual cars. You can have ABS and not have T/C though.

if you have a 01-04 and have T/C, the button is here under the radio. For 01-02, the button has a spinning wheel icon on it like the green wheel in the dash. For 03-04, it says Trac Off.

It's a package deal so if you don't have the button, you don't have ABS either for those years. For 2004 it's an $800 option, so a lot of '04 GT's just have a blank delete switch.

Good pic. I did not have traction control on my 200 GT then. I retract my previous statement. My 81 Mustang has the 2001 traction control system on it, and it works great!
