Okay so my car had A/C on it but long story short....it dosent any more.

And a looooooooong time ago i ran into a local guy with a 1970 vert one day at my work and he sorta allways told me he would offer lots of $$$ for the underdash A/C stuff and the lower dash...

Well since i figure i may be able to save some wieght...and make room in there for whatever,

So i just called him up, i just want a good looking lower dash back in better or same condition.

Heres my question, i dont mind loosing out on the deal, he said he would buy me a WHOLE new lower because he wanted to keep his....which i DONT buy becuase...his looks to be in gooooood shape.

But what should i do here>? Are these hard to come by?

You should be keeping the AC stuff. One day you wll be old and wish you had it and by then it will not be available at any price you would be willing to spend.

Like everyone else has said, I would keep it. You won't be saving that much weight, and I'd rather keep it and spend some little money repairing it in the future rather than removing it and spending upwards of $1500 to install a new A/C sytem when you decide you really need one.

A/C was the first upgrade to my 'stang

And I have a convertible... and it's a 6 cylinder!

I would think hard about selling an original piece as important as that.

Take it out, clean and protect it then put it away for later. You'll be glad you did.
The $ appreciation for hard to get parts is almost as good as interest on a CD (certificate of Deposit, not "Pink goes to Vegas" )
