tranmission fluid change

does anyone have a link to a step by step for changing the transmission fluid
for a 00 5 spd gt?
i got 48,000 miles, i bought the car with just under 40 and im not sure if the previous owner changed it or not.

If it's anything like the 03 tranny, do this..

1) locate drain plug under tranny
2) remove shifter
3) remove drain plug
4) replace drain plug
5) pour fluid into shifter opening
6) re-install shifter.

Good advice from TL1000S but if you don't want to remove the shifter for re-filling you can open the hood and fish a 3-4 foot length of rubber tubing down between the engine and fender well into the fill hole of the transmission, attach a funnel on the end and pour in the required amount.

or just use a hand pump

I didn't have access to a handpump, plus I wanted to remove the gasket under my shifter to apply some permatex anyways. SO I killed 2 birds with one stone.. I saw where the fill plug was and I was like "The Hell With That"
