Wow, a 460 in a Fox! Sounds mean, I like it, just don't plan on it cornering well.

For a tranny, I give my vote to the C-6. I think it was Ford's bulletproof 3-speed. (Though you can build up a C-4 to be pretty strong and you may get a weight benefit). But who needs to shave weight on a car when you've got a big block

The stall converter you pick primarily depends on the primary function of the car. The more you plan on racing it versus driving around, the higher stall speed you can justify.
