I am changing the fluid in my '02 5 Spd and I was thinking of using Royal Purple or Red line. I just wanted to know if anyone had an opinion and if someone could tell me how much work and what parts are needed?

I would recommend buying one of those "marine gear oil transfer" pumps for filling the trans after draining it. Remove the bottom plug to drain the old oil. Replace the plug. Remove the top plug (both plugs are on pass. side of trans) and pump the new fluid in with the transfer pump. You can get the at the discount stores for under $10.

I don't have an opinion on the Red Line or Royal Purple. Couldn't hurt, though.

4 qts (I think 3.3 are required) and the above mentioned pump. I too, used Mobil 1 since it's readily available - it made a very noticable chg on my wife's 01 GT (T-45) - haven't done my 3650 yet.
