tranny fluid question

just took off the aftermarket shifter to try and fix my tranny problem and i noticed underneath the shifter there is a pocket for the tranny...i see traces of tranny fluid....is there were all of the tranny fluid is suppose to go because from what i see, there is just about none in this pocket....help please

You won't be able to see a fluid level from where you're looking. There will be traces but nothing more.

The transmission fill line is on the side of the case... No where near the top of the transmission.

Crawl under your car (drivers side) and you will see two plugs. Bottom plug is for the drain, top is for the fill.

It is indeed the Passenger side where both plugs are located

ha thanks guys, finally realized it was just spit up from the gears, im all set now , thanks for the info and stuff..i appreciate it
