Tranny pop when clutch pedal half way down

Recently I have noticed a pop or click sound when I press the clutch in while the engine is on or off, in or out of any gear. If I press it down slow and gradual I don't get the pop

I tried adjusting the firewall adjuster to both extremes and still get the pop. I took the cable cover off the bottom and don't see any issues or don't hear the sound coming from that portion.

I really seems as if the pop is coming from somewhere inside the tranny. I don't notice anything strange aside from the tranny being hot to the point at which the heat from it seems to seep through the interior of the car after driving it in 5pm i35 traffic.

Does this seem like maybe a stretchy cable or is something evil going on inside of the tranny?

Any ideas are welcome.

Engine and tranny mounts are the same ones I've had on since day one with it, but the noise just started a week ago.

In regard to the clutch fingers, what would cause these to go out as the clutch I have probably only has about 3-5k miles on it so far?

I do have an adjustable cable, firewall adjuster and double hook quadrant setup installed.

Yeah I made sure to lube this guy up before installing it. Also the sound just started a few weeks so it could be the TOB but I don't think it's an issue with the lube.

It sounds as if I am going to have to pull the transmission in order to figure this out
