Well since my tranny finshed taking a dump Saturday night, i got it ready to take it of. The tranny, bellhousing, clutch and flywheel are of. Now im just waiting to order the 6 speed. I also left the LT's on. So far they aren't in the way. So im sure those who are going to do a clutch can keep the LT's in there. Were exactly is the rear main seal located? If its the circle thing connected to the block how do you take if of? or should i even bother? no oil seemed to be leaking thru the back. Ill post pics of the install process. When im done

the rear main is the black rubber piece around the back of the crank. if it isnt leaking, my recommendation would be to leave it alone. if you dont get the new one in just right it will start leaking after a short while.

If you wish to change it I see a lot of people recommending that you drill a couple of tiny holes into the seal, and then thread in a couple of screws that you can yank out with the claw of a hammer, or whatever your choice may be.
